Melanie Peterson-Ramey is a seasoned agent with more than 30 years’ experience and a special connection to the luxury homes and equestrian estates. Dually licensed in Florida and Kentucky, she has cultivated a reputation as a sought-after agent for the unique, luxury equestrian properties that she specializes in.
Prior to earning her real estate license in 2011, Melanie spent over two decades in the equestrian industry working as a professional trainer for private, high net worth clients. At the urging of one of her clients, a brokerage owner, Melanie began her journey into professional real estate and found that she had a true passion for the business. Today, working with buyers, sellers and investors, Melanie expertly guides her clients through every facet of the real estate transaction with ease backed by a proven track record of overdelivering on their goals. From staging and marketing to negotiation and finance, Melanie consistently positions her clients in the optimum place of strength in the market.
In addition to her real estate and equestrian experience, Melanie has experience with land management and site development, further enhancing her skill set and giving her clients a unique advantage when considering development or renovation projects. Approaching every project as if she were the client, Melanie is committed to providing the highest level of client service to each person that she works with delivered with the utmost respect, integrity and professionalism.
An avid equestrian competitor herself, Melanie and her husband own and operate a farm in Lexington, Kentucky. In addition to her love of horses and all things equestrian, Melanie owns English Pointers and together, she and her husband enjoy field trials with them around the country. Originally from Katonah, New York, Melanie and her husband split their time between their home in Wellington where she is active in her community and is a member of the National Association of Realtors®, Florida Association of Realtors®, Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches and Palm Beach Board of Real Estate and in Lexington where she is a member of the Lexington Bluegrass Association of Realtors. She has served on many volunteer boards and is the past Vice Chair of the Governing Board and Chair of the Project and Lands Committee of the South Florida Water Management District. Melanie is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography / Environmental Resource Analysis and has a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) certificate.
