25Originally from Henderson Co., Joe grew up in Northern Kentucky and completed his bachelor’s degree at American University in Washington, DC. Licensed in 1994, Joe is experienced in residential and commercial transactions as a real estate agent and as a loan officer. He also served as Press Secretary and Senior Legislative Assistant for former U.S. Rep. Ken Lucas assisting with his work on the House Financial Services Committee. In 2004 Joe returned to Kentucky to accept the position of Director of Industry Relations for the National Thoroughbred Racing Association. In 2006, Joe established Alliand Equine, which is active in Thoroughbred investment including pinhook ventures, breeding and racing partnerships. He formerly served as Executive Director of the Kentucky Equine Education Project and is a member of the Kentucky Society in Washington, the Thoroughbred Club of America and numerous Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse organizations. Joe and his wife, Chris, live in Lexington with their son Drew and daughter Allison.
